Food for our grocery orders comes from donations and purchases – primarily from the Second Harvest Food Bank. Some food items must be purchased frequently by Sunnyside and are considered standard. Our standard food items are:
- Peanut Butter
- Saltine Crackers
- Dry Pasta Noodles.
Our standard non-food items are:
- Toilet Paper
- Laundry Detergent
In addition, for those who like to donate different products each month, we have a rotation of other items.
- January, April, July, and October: Canned Fruit, Canned Meat, and Macaroni & Cheese
- February, May, and August: Canned Tomato Products and Soup
- March, June, and September: Beans, Corn, and Vegetables
- November and December: Standard Items plus Soup
We are actually grateful to receive any item in any month. We’re also happy to get hotel provided toiletries that have not been used. We cannot give away items that have been opened. This applies to food and non-food items.
