The scholarship will be awarded based upon the applicant’s financial need, leadership, history of community service, academic achievement, future plans, and the probability that the candidate has or will develop a benevolent spirit to the community and those in need.
Eligible seniors can apply for scholarship assistance worth up to $1800 per year at a four-year accredited college or $1000 per year at a two-year community college with transfer privileges. The scholar will receive a laptop computer and the opportunity to apply for a paid summer internship at Sunnyside Ministry.
Applicants must live or go to school in zip codes 27107, 27127, or select areas of northern Davidson County including Wallburg, Midway, and Clemmons addresses in Davidson County.
The applications require financial information, an academic transcript, and two letters of recommendation based upon community involvement, volunteer service, and academic achievement. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
